This Friday, January 19, boys basketball lost their five-game streak against Monarch High School in a frat boy themed game. The game was anybody’s, staying within a couple of points of each other till the last five minutes of the fourth quarter when Monarch began to take the lead. Fossil soon began to strategize and forced the other team into fouling, gaining two free throws and two more points. Yet they were no match for Monarch once they had pulled ahead and lost the game by four points, 42-46. Their next game is at Fossil Ridge High School at 6:30 p.m. against Prairie View.
