French Field was covered in pink to support breast cancer awareness on Friday, October 17, 2014 during the Fossil Ridge football game against Fairview High School.
It was a close game against Fairview with the end score 40-42, in favor of the visiting team. Fairview made a touchdown in the last quarter to pull ahead 35-42. Fossil Ridge made up for it in the last 30 seconds of the game with a touchdown.
Fossil’s last play was a two point conversion, in hopes for over time, but the attempt was stopped short of the goal line. .
Though Fossil lost the game, it was a success in bringing awareness to breast cancer. Fossil brought awareness by having all the students were pink, including the the band with a pink feather in their plumes. FCCLA (Family career community leaders of america) was selling t-shirts throughout the week before the game.

I really liked the photos used in the article. Fossil’s personality can be seen through the photos. My favorite picture was the football team lined up with the their arms around each other. I like that photo because it shows how unified the team is

Your article title says “Fossil field turned pink” but I did not see any pink football field in your pictures. I did love your pictures of the teams though!
I also think you could have gotten some pictures of the fans wearing pink since you mentioned it in your article.

I really liked the photos used in this article. I think that it shows the Fossil personality through the photos. They show that students attending this beast of a school are very united and strong when we come together. It relays the focus of the article and it is interesting to have photos to go along with it.
