Seth Bylund, Staff Writer
Seth Bylund, a senior, is returning to the journalism room for the first time since his sophomore year, where he learned the basics of journalism, shortly before quarantine began. Although he does not consider himself to be extremely extroverted, he hopes that journalism will help him to expand his horizons, as well as push him out of his comfort zone and help him learn new things.
Bylund is close with his family and values the time that he gets to spend with them, but he also enjoys his time alone, where he listens to music, especially artists such as Frank Ocean, Mac Miller, Kanye West, and Kid Cudi. Bylund also finds comfort in the gym and spends much of his free time there.
He is a born and raised Colorado native, and because of that, has had many opportunities to play many different sports. He played baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, hockey, and tennis through middle school. Bylund continues to play tennis and loves it wholeheartedly. He plays nearly 25 hours a week and plans to continue developing his talent at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where he has recently committed to attend and play tennis. Lenoir-Rhyne is located in North Carolina, and although it is far from his Fort Collins home, he is excited to start a new chapter in his life and gain new experiences.
While studying at Lenoir-Rhyne, Bylund plans on majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Business, and after graduating, hopes to get his master’s degree and work as an Occupational or Physical therapist, mainly focusing on helping athletes recover and get back into the game.
