Mac Busteed, Staff Writer
A senior at Fossil Ridge High School, Mac Busteed joins the Etched in Stone team for his first year. While this may be his first year in journalism, he has some experience under his belt. Busteed has completed sports broadcasting where he was an announcer for multiple sporting events. He is most excited to learn how to write in a journalistic style, especially for sports.
Busteed knows the area pretty well as he has lived here his entire life. He grew up in Windsor, just down the road, until he started at Preston Middle School in sixth grade. Busteed loves the environment of Colorado and his favorite aspect is the outdoors. He loves the endless amount of activities and the people he is surrounded by.
Busteed is a very active member of the Fossil community. He is a part of the football, basketball, and track team where he exceeds year-round. While he enjoys all the sports he plays, he enjoys football the most and plans on continuing his career after high school. Outside of school, Busteed spends a lot of time both outdoors and indoors where he loves to fish and cook. He admits he may not be the best chef, but enjoys it nonetheless.
After high school, Busteed is going to miss the community that has been formed and the fact that he can see his closest friends every day. However, he will not miss the workload from his rigorous classes. Continuing his football career, Busteed plans to attend Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri where he plans on studying something business related.
