Timothy Cutler

Timothy Cutler, Staff Writer

Tim Cutler is a Senior this year at Fossil Ridge High School. He is joining the Etched in Stone team for the first time this year. Cutler’s Sophomore year, he took Journalism 1 and has since decided he was ready and excited to join the Journalism 2 family. As a new staff writer, Cutler is embracing this new experience by being open to write whatever is thrown at him. Whether it be sports, arts, or larger stories about the community, Cutler is up for the challenge.

Cutler is originally from Colorado Springs, where he lived through Kindergarten until his family decided to make the move to Fort Collins. Since First Grade, Cutler has attended school and remained in Fort Collins with his family. Cutler is the youngest sibling of his family. He has two older brothers at the ages of 32 and 20. While his brothers are great, Cutler loves hanging out with his dog, Shadow who is a Beagle.

Outside of the journalism classroom and covering stories, Cutler can be found on the baseball field. Cutler has played on Fossil’s baseball team and plans to go out again this spring. To fuel up for all his baseball practices, Cutler loves eating a lovely golden plate of mac and cheese. Cutler insists on the mac and cheese being homemade because the mac and cheese from restaurants and stores are “too rubbery.” Aside from running the bases and eating pasta, he also works at Hobby Lobby where he stocks shelves.

Aside from his love for baseball, Cutler often finds himself diving deep into his favorite graphic novels. He much prefers books with pictures over words. On the more controversial side of things, Cutler’s favorite superhero is Batman. Cutler also enjoys playing poker and other various card games with friends in his free time.

Looking ahead, Cutler plans on taking a gap year to both reflect and take some time to decide what he wants to do in the future. He is not quite sure yet what career he has the desire to pursue. Although undecided Cutler is glad he will have the freedom and ability to explore what he truly wants to do in his life after high school.
