Valentine’s Day creates a lot of conflict about it’s legitimacy as a holiday. Some argue that the day is more about spending money than appreciate the person you are with. Instead of the classic argument about whether Valentine’s Day is a significant holiday, we are going to talk about ways to spend the day.

Valentine’s Day isn’t about Romantics

Valentine’s Day is basically a regular day just more romanticized. People forget that amongst all the flowers and chocolate we don’t actually need a significant other to celebrate. Instead of focusing solely on whomever your significant other is, you should be spending time with all the people you value and love. Family and friends is an important part of our lives. It’s one day of the year when everyone feels pressure to couple up or stay indoors, but that should change and be about showing everyone how much they mean to you.

Showing the one person you are currently with isn’t a bad thing, but why do we do it on one specific day? Instead of making Valentine’s all about being coupley, it should just be a regular day with less pressure and more love and appreciation.

A good fun way to spend Valentine’s Day with your friends is to go out bowling at The Summit. It isn’t too much of a romantic activity, and you can be competitive.

Laser tag is a fun filled, casual way to hang out with friends. A trip to Fort Fun or Loveland Laser tag is a fun event that everyone can enjoy. That makes it perfect for a Valentine’s Day with the people who mean the most to you.

Even if it’s just a simple ‘thanks for being my friend’ Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be some lovey dovey event. It can just be a day spent with all of the people who mean the most to you.

Valentine’s Day is dedicated to love

Valentine’s Day is a day notoriously known for being a day spent with a significant other. That being said I think it is important to spend time with that person. It’s true that it is nice to spend time with friends, but Valentine’s day only comes once a year so what’s the harm in showing your significant other how much they mean to you one day a year?

There is nothing wrong with wanting to spend time with your significant other on Valentine’s Day. Going to the movies is a classic date that never goes out of style. Spending that time with your significant other is a great way to spend your Valentine’s Day.

Another great Valentine’s Day date with your significant other is dinner. It could be as casual as Five Guys or Fuzzy’s Tacos, or it could be a nice sit down like BJ’s or Austin’s. A nice dinner with just the two of you is a great way to show your significant other how much you care. Valentine’s day is about putting your significant other at the front of your mind for a whole day.

Friends and family are great, but Valentine’s Day is a day that society has set aside to be with your significant other. Valentine’s Day spent with your significant other can be creative too. When planning a date on Valentine’s day it’s good to break a mold, that way it is something special that you wouldn’t do for anyone else.
