Looking for something new to add to your breakfast menu? Looking to start learning how to cook? Bored and Hungry has you covered with this easy recipe for delicious homemade pancakes. I love pancakes and strongly believe that they are the best way to start a weekend or spice up your breakfast.

Best Ever Homemade Pancakes take about 15 minutes to make and serves either ten people or one depending on how hungry you are. Treat yourself to these delectable, fluffy, golden pancakes before you dive into a school day or kick off your Saturday morning.

For this recipe you will need:

  • 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (optional)
  • An electric griddle or a frying pan

If you are using a griddle, preheat it to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are using a frying pan, place it on medium and use butter to grease it.

First put the flour, baking powder, salt , and sugar in a medium sized mixing bowl. Then add the egg, milk, butter, and vanilla.  Mix thoroughly with a whisk or large spoon until all the ingredients are mixed in.  Let the mix stand for 2-3 minutes. With a 1/4 cup pour the batter onto the griddle creating small circles. Wait until the the edges of the pancake start to show little bubbles and then flip them. Each side should take about 1-2 minutes to cook. When they are golden brown, remove them from the griddle and serve. You can add toppings like peanut butter, syrup, fruit, chocolate, or whatever to your liking.  I personally like a little whip cream with mine.

Now that you have made your pancakes and added toppings, dig in!
