Music fills the PAC from Band’s collage concert
On December 11 and 12 Fossil Ridge High School’s band put on a two night collage concert, which featured a variety of small ensembles from each band. Every small ensemble had a piece chosen by their band director, either Megan Munoz or Daniel Berard; the music given to each group was meant to challenge the students. With the creation of small ensembles students had to arrange time amongst themselves to practice and negotiate how the piece would be played. Throughout the concert small ensembles arranged themselves throughout seats of the entire Performing Arts Center. After several small groups played their short piece, one of the concert bands would play a full ensemble piece. Each night was different but each night showcased different skills of the young musicians.
