In high school students discover many things including U.S. history mainly the Presidents of the United States. On February 19, we get to celebrate Presidents day which is the United States founder, George Washington’s birthday. The founder of Presidents day is Abraham Lincoln. Presidents day is educational, and is a great day for students to de-stress and take a break. The students give great criticism because their is no school, and a long weekend. Additionally, they ask why it is a day to celebrate at all. The day is for the Presidents that have helped shape the United States and our futures that we are living.

Life is so stressful. We get really distracted and  don’t spend time on how we should be grateful that we are able to live on our own and decide what we want and don’t want to do. Maybe it is going to vote or simply going to basketball games. That would not be possible without the Presidents.

On President’s day I am planning to spend time with my family. I am planning to watch sports and play with my Shih Tzu. This is a excuse for me to watch TV and relax, since school is so stressful and hard.

You should be grateful for Presidents day because it is what shaped the country and what shaped you.
