Following a week of easy play against two lower skilled teams the Fossil Ridge High School Sabercats took on the Broomfield High School Eagles for their annual Dig Pink night. To raise awareness for breast cancer the home team decked out in pink jerseys and the gym was covered with pink streamers and balloons. Along with the game, there was a bake sale and auction to raise money for breast cancer.

All three sets were sweeps, with Fossil dominating from the beginning to the final point. While Broomfield put up a better fight than both Poudre and Boulder High School, the Eagles still fell prey to the Sabercats. The first set was short with good back and forth plays. However, Fossil still proved victorious with a 25-12 win. Again in the second set, the Sabercats knocked the Eagles down. From their stronger blocks to more powerful spikes Fossil easily took the second set 25-9. Finally, in the third set, Broomfield struggled to score more than five points. Up until the 19 point from Fossil Broomfield had a measly one point. The Eagles did manage to score seven points by the end of the set but the Sabercats took the game by winning the third set 25-7.
