The Turkey Round Up helps families for the holidays
November 13, 2018
On Wednesday, November 14 this year’s Turkey Round Up is happening before school in the _. Make sure to bring your frozen turkeys to school in the morning to deliver to the turkey wranglers with the heads of the project at Fossil being Mrs. Breese and Mrs. McPhee. This year’s turkeys are going to the Food Bank drop-off location, and will then be delivered to families across the Fort Collins area.
More than 2,500 turkeys are needed to help feed 40,000 residents in the Larimer County area each Thanksgiving. Last year Fossil Ridge High School contributed only 41 of the 1,961 turkeys that Poudre School District collected – compared to the nearly 350 that Bacon Elementary School contributed. The most important thing is that the turkey is frozen; keep the date in mind.

I like the reminder/PSA, Maddie! Two thoughts: you’ve left a blank in this article so we don’t know where the roundup happened! And it would be great to know how many Turkeys were collected this year now that the roundup has finished – I sure hope its more than last year!
