Dear Seniors,
They say that senior year is fun and easy. I beg to differ. It seems like I am going to write a lot to the senior class this year. But hey, it’s an important year for us. I know that right now we are all stressed with filling out college applications and coming up with clever ideas for college essays, but we still need to take time for ourselves.
Personally, I love to take naps. When you have so much to do and you don’t have any motivation, just take a nap; they do miracles. They definitely refresh you and give you some extra sleep. As high school students, sleep is like gold; so precious, yet so hard to find. Seriously, sometimes you have so much to do, the best thing is to just take a nap.
This is directed more towards girls, but I think that it could go for anyone. Go buy some ice cream and just eat it straight out the carton. I do this all the time when I’ve had a bad day or when I am stressed beyond words. Personally, Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Therapy usually does the trick.
And this is more directed towards guys, but ladies, you might want to do this after eating all that ice cream. Go to the gym and work out. Sometimes working out can just de-stress your body and make you feel better about yourself. If you don’t like gyms, the great outdoors is the perfect place to be.
Call the massage therapist. All those knots in your back are not good for you.
Just take some “me time.” Whether that’s watching your favorite TV show or playing with your dog, sometimes the best time is time spent alone.
Hang in there seniors. We’re only 198 days until graduation. We can do it.
