Bored and Hungry: Elephant Ear Waffles

Alaina Yeager, Independent writer

Elephant Ear Waffles are something my mom used to make me when I was a kid. We made them every single Saturday and that was my favorite day of the week. It is a very simple and easy recipe but it tastes amazing.

I recently just made these again and I thought I should share the recipe because they are very good for the holidays.

First, make the waffles. You can also just use pancake mix for this step.

2 eggs

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 3/4 cups milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 tablespoon white sugar

4 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

After you make the waffles (waffle maker required), spread butter on top. Then, just sprinkle some cinnamon on top, not too much because it is strong. Then add you desired amount of sugar on as well.

Now, enjoy!
