Breaking: After-school activities cancelled due to icy driving conditions
Poudre School District details the procedures regarding inclement weather on the PSD website.
After a dramatic morning travelling to school, Fossil Ridge High School was buzzing with talk about the ice covering Fort Collins roads. Many felt that the school day should have been delayed or cancelled.
Following this, Poudre School District called off any and all extracurriculars scheduled to meet after school on January 19. While the school day itself will not be affected, PSD warns students that bus routes may be delayed as “drivers navigate icy roads.” PSD advises the use of the Here Comes the Bus app, which details the real-time location of PSD school buses.
While the AlphaBEST after-school care services will still be available, parents are advised to retrieve their children as soon as they are able.
