On Friday, October 6 the Sabercats lost to cross-town rivalry, Fort Collins Lambkins. They played in the first slot of the annual Canvas Community Classic. With a final score of 31-34, Collins scraped by in the last minute, scoring a field goal along with the win. This left the Sabercats with a devastating loss, even though Sabercats led the first quarter 14-7. When the quarters ended, stands were entertained with different games such as the racing of both schools with their mascot and two other students or a dance battle featuring our own Ridge Leadership. The halftime show also included the dance team coaching and moving alongside the next generation of aspiring dancers. Unfortunately, this was the last Canvas Classic for several seniors but hopefully, in future years Fossil can claim the win against rival Lambkins.
