This year’s Fossil Ridge High School Tennis team has been nothing but spectacular. Showing how dominant they can be with seniors David Defrancia, Lucas Martin, Kevin Schultz, and Max Weiner. Based on the recent success, Fossil’s tennis team looks like they will have a great end to the season.
Fossil’s tennis team has hit mid season and is hanging in there with the top teams in state: Fairview and Cherry Creek. The team has competed in 63 matches this year and have rolled to a 54-9 record. Which raises the question of how well can they compete with state contenders.
Senior Max Weiner says “We’ve done a good job of hanging in there with the top teams in the state.”
Fossil knew coming into the season that they had some very good depth with so many seniors, but knew they might run into some individual talent at Fairview and Cherry Creek. “I really believe we can win state at every doubles position and if things go the right way for singles, we could be amongst the top teams in the state,” said Weiner
