The success of Fossil Ridge men’s basketball in the past few years has been undoubtedly impressive. This coming season, head coach Matt Johannsen has high expectations for his team.
“We have great potential this year,” Johannsen stated, “Our strength is the chemistry between the guys. I think once we get going that will be a key advantage. A weakness we have is turning the ball over. As the season continues, I think we will learn to value the ball and hopefully we can avoid high amounts of turn overs.”
The team went 18-7 last year and made it to the Sweet 16 in the state tournament, losing to a strong Eagle Crest team.
With different strengths and weaknesses than last years team, there are high hopes to make a deep run in play offs this season.
