August 22 brings a different schedule for Fossil Ridge High School, with late start on Monday and the typical Monday schedule on Wednesday. This change is brought on by add/drop, which will take place between 7:00 and 9:00 am Monday morning. Students who need to make scheduling changes can do so at that time. Add/drop is sooner into the school year than it has been in the past to better accommodate for students who are enrolled in classes that they did not sign up for and to quickly adjust class sizes and rosters.

Add/drop is for students with errors in their schedule that conflict with classes they originally signed up for and to change electives, though students can switch periods of classes or change teachers, within reason. It is the only time students can change their schedule for first semester. Every student needs a parent signature on their add/drop form, which they can print off from www.frhscounseling.org prior to Monday morning. Schedule changes will be made on a space-available basis, meaning that if a class already has the maximum number of students allowed, another student cannot switch into it.

The schedule for the week of August 22 – 26 is as follows:

Monday – Late start and periods 2, 4, 6
Tuesday – Normal “odd” classes
Wednesday – Periods 1-7
Thursday – Normal “odd” classes
Friday – Normal Friday schedule, with advisory
