Game On

On Tuesday November, 15 gamers came together in a competition of skill playing their favorite games in a tournament. Call Of Duty, Madden, Mario Kart, and Super Smash Brothers were the games set up for the competitors as they battled for dominance to take first for their respective games. Unfortunately, the competitors for Call Of Duty did not show up and only three competitors showed up for Madden, thinning down the competition for those games. The two games that really stole the show were Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart. Fierce battles took place round after round in Super Smash Brothers as competitors forced their way up the bracket to battle in the final battle. “I feel like I am going to do very very badly, there is a lot of good players.” Smriti Maskey said as she prepared for her round of Super smash Brothers.

In the end only two competitors remained, Christian Opper and Richard Thompson in a fierce final battle with Thompson playing as Bowser and Opper playing as Pit. With a one stock lead, Thompson eventually defeated Opper securing the win for Super Smash Brothers. Being the second most popular game at the tournament, Mario Kart had a large lineup of contestants racing for the win. In the end, Opper secured the win playing as Bowser. Madden had the smallest line up with only four contestants. The game came down to Aron Hattem and Richard Thompson with Hattem taking the Win ending the tournament.
