Brandon Kruse, Sports Writer
Brandon Kruse, a senior, is in his first year of Journalism. He had spent the previous two years being a member of Fossil’s T.V. program pursuing an interest in sports broadcasting. That dream has not faltered; however, he thought it best to explore journalism. As a result, Brandon is a member of Fossil’s Etched in Stone covering sporting events that surround Fossil.
Aside from journalism, Brandon is the co-captain of Fossil’s ultimate frisbee team. The ultimate frisbee team at Fossil doesn’t get much attention, but they have competed in many tournaments in and around Denver, representing Fossil as Fort Collins’ only high school ultimate frisbee team. Brandon is also a member of NHS and SNHS. Outside of school, Brandon mainly volunteers at his church as well as playing roller hockey and disc golf in his free time. He also enjoys watching and cheering on his two favorite professional sports teams: the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks.
In addition, Brandon’s most cherished trait about himself is his Christian faith. He embraces his faith because it gives him a sense of purpose, a moral compass, and great friendships and relationships with others who share the same passion.
Furthermore, Brandon plans to attend Colorado State University. There, he hopes to learn the skills and assets necessary to become MLB’s new Matt Vasgersian, ESPN’s new Dan Shulman, or FOX’s new Colin Cowherd.
