Sunflowers and Sundresses: Animal attack

Sunflowers and Sundresses: Animal attack

Animal prints have been classic right alongside the little black dress for ages, but now this trend has morphed into something with a bit more of a bite. Rather than just patterns, prints are representing animal faces and shapes. These animal illustrations are popping up all over the place, creating a new playful way to show off fun flare.

This hipster trend began in a beautifully ironic sense, and now it’s flipped into the fashion world. Foxes, wolves, and owls (oh my!) are creeping onto sweatshirts and tops alike. Big sweaters are almost incomplete without an adorable face plastered on the front. Sweaters like this one have a unique twist to the basic fox and are too darling to ignore.

I can’t talk about the animal attack without discussing the kitty take over. Cats are everywhere. Cat shirts, cat patterned pants, cat necklaces, name anything and there is one out there with a pretty kitty displayed on it. I’ll be the first to admit, I am a dog person. However, the graphic style little cuties are just too much not to admire. I mean this t-shirt from Urban Outfitters has cats on them representing different countries, come on!

Animal accessories are a simple way to add a whimsical twist. Simple studs with a pig faces, like these from Claire’s, are too cute and downright irresistible. Tights and socks with little kitty-cats faces add just enough to make your heart melt look at these from Urban Outfitters, adorable.
