After yet another thrilling weekend of NFL playoff football, there are four teams left. After the Patriots, Colts, Packers and Seahawks all square off this weekend, we will know which two teams will be heading to University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Feb. 1.
NFC Championship
Packers vs. Seahawks
The Green Bay Packers are going into a very hostile environment at CenturyLink field on Sunday January 18, 2015. The Seahawks were able to hold a solid Carolina Panthers offense to 17 points in last week’s playoff matchup in Seattle. The Hawks were also able to force two turnovers, one being Kam Chancellor’s pick six at the end of the game to put the nail in the coffin. But the almighty Aaron Rodgers and the Pack come in being one of the best total offenses in the league. There’s a big worry in the back of Packers fan’s heads, the calf injury of Aaron Rodgers. Clearly it didn’t slow him down in the game against the Dallas Cowboys, Rodgers had 316 yards and threw for three touchdowns. Meaningless to say, both teams have their hands full in preparation.
Prediction: Seahawks win 20-17
AFC Championship
Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots
The Colts go into an uphill battle as well on Sunday, January 18 against a very well coached Patriots team, loaded with seasoned veterans. There’s no easy way out against a team led by Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. With a superior tight end like Rob Gronkowski, who managed to haul in seven catches for 108 yards and one touchdown in just one postseason game, the Patriots are a nightmare to match up with in the secondary. The Colts come in very prepared, coming off an impressive victory over the tremendous Denver Broncos team, suddenly putting them on the map. Andrew Luck is nothing to joke around about, with over 600 passing yards over the last two playoff games against the Cincinnati Bengals and Broncos. With targets T.Y. Hilton and tight end Coby Fleener the Indy offense is a well-oiled machine.
Prediction: Patriots win 24-14
