Anna Henning

Anna Henning, Co-Editor in Chief

Co-Editor in Chief and senior Anna Henning is ecstatic to be entering her fourth year of journalism. Henning has grown up loving writing, and has taken every writing class she can. She really enjoyed taking Creative Writing freshman year, but Journalism II has always been her favorite class. Henning feels that she has grown up in the Etched in Stone family, and cannot imagine Fossil without it. She has dreamed of being Editor in Chief since she was a freshman, and is very excited to take on the leadership role with Madalynn Lewis. She hopes that she can help the staff create a better bond and feel inspired to seek out fresh stories before she graduates.

Besides writing for the paper, Henning has danced her whole life. She is in her third year on Fossil’s Varsity Dance Team. Henning has loved dancing at football games the most with her team. She misses doing Ballet at her studio, but she is glad to no longer have constant injuries from it. Along with Ballet, her other favorite style is Hip-Hop.

As a self proclaimed “movie nerd,” Henning watches tons of movies in her free time. She is a fan of all things Star Wars, and is working on growing her knowledge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well. Henning also loves her “nostalgia genre,” which includes films like Wreck-It Ralph and Kung Fu Panda. Along with movies, Henning watches All Elite Wrestling’s Dynamite every Wednesday. Her older brother got her into the world of professional wrestling, and they love talking about the matches together while they watch. As far as music goes, Henning really enjoys alternative bands like Twenty One Pilots, Vampire Weekend, and AJR.

After graduation, Henning will attend the University of Montana. She will continue her love of writing with a major in journalism and a minor in Spanish. She has fallen in love with the town of Missoula, but is a bit nervous to move to a new city because she has never lived outside of Fort Collins. Henning is looking forward to working at UM’s newspaper, The Kaimin, and studying abroad at some point.
