Etched in Stone

Lizzy Camp

Lizzy Camp, News Director

Lizzy Camp, a junior, is the News Director for Etched in Stone. This will be her second year writing for the school paper. Aside from Etched in Stone, Camp can be found playing in the Fossil Ridge High School percussion ensemble.

Camp is a born and raised Colorado native. She has two sisters―one who is now married and living in Minnesota, and a younger one who is in 7th grade. That places Camp right in the middle of the two, as the middle child.

In her free time, Camp likes to play guitar, bake, and design architecture. Looking into the future, her dream job is to be working as a city planner. Currently, she can be found serving churros at The Snowy Churro food truck.

Camp can also always be found diving into a good book. Some of her favorite authors include Donna Tartt, Brandon Sanderson, Casey McQuinston, Jay Kristoff, and Sappho. Camp used to write her own novels, but has now switched to writing poetry. She also enjoys watching TV shows such as the Great British Baking show, All Creatures Great and Small, Borgen, and The West Wing. Camp also likes to listen to music by Dayglow, Cavetown, The Happy Fits, Lady Denim, and Girl in Red.

Camp only has one main goal for this year: survive.
