The PSD Fire field hockey team was back on the turf this past Monday, September 14th in Golden. Coming into this game, the Fire have yet to score once or win once; their momentum slowly fading as the season goes on.
Golden, a dangerously aggressive team, took charge in the game and shut down the Fire, but not entirely in a legal fashion. Mallory Kellum said after the game that “the refs were terrible and did not catch the over-aggressiveness in the Golden team.” Though the Fire were at a heavy disadvantage, Mallory also said that “we had great runs up the field, it was not our worst game, but also not our best.”
The PSD Fire failed to get on the scoreboard in what was a lop-sided and fast paced game in Golden, and fell 0-7.
