Fossil Volleyball falls short to Rocky

It was a rough fight for the Fossil ladies Thursday, October 15th. The varsity ladies fought long, rallying back and forth against the determined Lobos. With a score of 13 to 24 in the first set, Rocky’s upper hand seemed to foreshadow the end result for the rest of the game. Fossil Ridge rallied against the opposition though, and won back the second set with a score of 25 to 21. From there, the game was a neck in neck fight with Fossil fans leaning hard against the rails as the balls slammed back and forth from each side of the court. Yet it was doomed to being a downhill slide for Fossil with Rocky winning the third set at a close score of 23 to 25, and then snatching a finish with a score of 26 to 28 in the fourth. Senior Gwyn Drop said, “It was rough, but we are going to practice hard, and keep going with it,” Their next game will be Tuesday, October 20th, away at Fort Collins High School.
