With the presidential election coming up so quickly, it’s impossible to escape the campaign ads, and LaMar’s Donuts is no exception.
LaMar’s is hosting a “doughnut poll” on who they think will win the election based on how many of each type of doughnut is purchased. Mitt Romney’s donut is call “Mitt Yum-ney” and Barack Obama’s doughnut is called “Dough-Bama.” “Mitt Yum-ney” is an elephant topped with red sprinkles and “Dough-Bama” is a donkey with blue sugar on top.
As of Oct. 1, “Dough-Bama” took the lead by 51.5 percent. “Mitt Yum-ney” is not far behind with 48.5 percent.” The poll has been open since Sept. 1 and will remain open until the end of the month.
