Caitlin Rice competes at FBLA nationals

This summer Caitlin Rice, who graduated Fossil Ridge in 2013, won third place in Business Communication at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California.” I wish I had become involved with it as a freshman,” said Rice. “There are so many opportunities to develop your leadership skills and to network with professionals across the country.”

To qualify in a written event Rice had to place in the top three at State out of approximately 30 competitors. “Attending the State and National competitions my junior and senior years was surreal,” said Rice. “I have some great memories from each competition, from keynote speakers and workshop presenters to spending the day at Disneyland. I’ve had some brilliant mentors and couldn’t be thankful enough for my experience in FBLA.”

Rice urges people to join FBLA and Business Leadership classes because of how much of a life changing experience it was for her and because of the skills they gave her.  “I just want to thank Ms. Karen Seeton for everything she did to help me succeed,” said Rice.
