About three years ago Fossil Ridge did something that ended up on major news programs like Fox 31 Denver and even The Today Show. This something was the Fossil Ridge Lip Dub and it is happening again, this time bigger, and better. So if you were not here at Fossil for our first ever lipdub on diversity day or just haven’t seen it yet then definitely go check it out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXJ3tKJCuW0 . The lip dub is a massive school wide project to help promote diversity and the culture here at Fossil by showcasing students from all sorts of interests and clubs.
DLA (Diversity Leadership Awareness) and Ridge T.V. are pulling out all the stops this year for this Lip Dub. There will be more students singers, some Teacher singers and four songs. The songs are as follows: Five Hundred Miles by The Proclaimers, Magic by B.O.B, Shake it off by Taylor Swift, and Don’t Stop believing by Journey.
Ridge T.V. is putting a ton of time and work into this new lip dub this year with a new route through the school, new cameras, a bigger crew, and special effects, one of these effects being the special use of black light and maybe a little magic show as well. One very special thing being done with the lip dub this year is the camera zip line which will carry the camera down the seats in the performing arts center to the stage.
The theme this year is “Ignite” which can clue everybody in on some of the decorations going in to the lip dub. So get ready Fossil the date for the lip dub is going to be 4/3/15 during advisory and you will want to be there. For anyone who does not go to Fossil the complete lip dub will be up on youtube at this link https://www.youtube.com/user/dtfilmning. Mr. Gallagher, T.V. teacher at Fossil and organizer of the lip dub says “It is going to be the greatest finale of any lip dub ever.”
