Science Olympiad placed second in state. There was a mistake during scoring, at the competition they received the first place trophy, but had to return it afterwards. They won second place in both state and regional competitions this year.
“Many of the students have competed at the national level and so placing second at regionals lit a fire. They really wanted to beat Poudre at state,” advisor Dan Dannahower said.
There are no more competitions for the team this year. They will not be able to compete at a national level because they did not win in state.
