Fossil’s boys’ varsity soccer team took the field at Heritage Thursday, October 8. The Sabercats played aggressive, showcasing their vision of the field and their fast speed of play when having possession of the ball. They pulled out a 0-1 win with Jaime Chavarria scoring the winning goal. Chavarria comments, “The goal we scored was an own goal by the other team. I shot it at their player and it hit off him into the goal.” Fossil’s goal was scored early into the second half and Fossil’s defense fought hard to keep it a shutout.
