Eight Fossil Ridge students accepted to All State Choir

Congratulations to Fossil Ridge students who made All State Choir: seniors Abbie Hanawalt and Savannah Lloyd and juniors Ken Morse, Jackson Bailey, Whitney Hammond, Kayla Goetsch, Ali Randel, and Kristen Eisworth.

All State consisted of one hundred and fifty choir students from schools all over Colorado. “You have to try out, it’s a bunch of people getting together to sing together,” Bailey said. Students had to prepare an audition song they had been practicing for months and be tested on techniques including intervals, scales, and sight reading. The audition process was vigorous, and it meant a lot of those who got in.

“It meant that I’m taking my music life up to the next level and I know I can take it further. I know I can do something with it now,” Bailey said.
