On Saturday, April 13 at Fossil Ridge High School there will be a 5K run. All of the proceeds will go to Cindy Vanderheiden, an English and Drama teacher at FRHS who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. The race will be from 10-11 a.m. and there will be prizes for the first five people to finish the race. There will also be a fun run starting at 10:30 a.m. for anyone who wants to contribute but doesn’t want to run in the 5K.
It will cost $15 to race and $20 to race and receive a t-shirt. The race begins at the soccer fields outside FRHS, and there will be water stations placed throughout the course and snacks at the end of the race. Register online before participating, and registration will be open until the start of the race. The 5K will be a Ridge Cup Event, so students will also get points for attending.
