The 970 Show

“The 970 Show” takes place April 26 at 6 p.m. at Fossil Ridge High School. This competition hosts one band from each of the four Poudre School District high schools located in Fort Collins. The winning band takes home a prize of a free recording session in Denver. The band MEDIC will be headlining and will choose the winner. The entry fee is $10, and all proceeds go towards the continuation of the Rachel’s Challenge Program at FRHS.

Student Council’s sophomore Kaily Adair, junior Chinmay Pandit and their committees worked with Mr. Nye, Mrs. Jones, and representatives from Rachel’s Challenge to create this event. “The goal of this event is to give people a true taste of the talent that we have in this community,” said Pandit.

Fazzolis and Mama Roni’s will be selling dinner, and for dessert, The Real Stuff will be selling delicious treats. Not only will there be food vendors, but senior Colin Beard’s t-shirt company, Technique, will be selling event t-shirts.

“It’s going to be a really fun experience for all of those involved in the evening,” Adair said.
