Table tennis club looking forward to a new start

The Table Tennis club at Fossil Ridge High School, lead by senior Magnus Chun, meets every Wednesday after school in the athletic hall by the trophy case. The club meets from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Members of the club compete in tournaments against each other, learn new techniques, and meet other members who share a common interest. The club started two years ago but hadn’t been active during the 2012/2013 school year, “I started it up again this year basically just for fun,” said Chun.

Chun is the head of the club and organizes meetings, as well as trying to get new and returning players to come out to the club. “I sometimes teach the players how to correctly hold a paddle, how to serve or the rules of the game,” said Chun. He encourages new players to come join, and that you don’t need experience to come play.
