Acura has been teasing a new NSX sports car since the last one went out of production about ten years ago, but finally the wait is over.

The new NSX sports Acura’s latest design language inside and out, giving it the same styling as the concept from 2011. The NSX has an all new body structure made out of aluminum and carbon fiber. Acura claims this gives it the lowest center of gravity in its class.

When it comes to the powertrain side Acura went all out, starting with a new Twin-Turbo V6 engine with at least 400 horsepower and 375 ft-lbs. of torque. That wasn’t enough, though. Acura has also added on three electric motors, two powering the front wheels and and a smaller one helping the gas engine in the back. The two up front make at least 50 horsepower and 75 ft-lbs. of torque each bring the total to at least 550 horsepower and 575 ft-lbs of torque. It all goes through a nine speed twin clutch transmission. This will help the NSX from 0-60 miles per hour in around three seconds and to top speed of around 200 mph.
