Five Night’s at Freddy’s, the indie horror game that took the internet by storm, is now getting attention in Hollywood. This meaning that the game is going to get it’s own feature length film. The game takes place in a Chuck E Cheese’s kind of setting where animatronics come to life and attack the player who is a security guard tasked with watching and protecting the pizzeria. Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to the video game sensation. The movie is going to be produced by Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg. However there is no writer or director attached to the film yet. It is known that Scott Cawthorn, the creator of the Five Night’s at Freddy’s trilogy, will be involved in the project. “We’re looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie,” Grahame-Smith said.
The movie has merely been announced so not much info is available and no time for the movie’s release has even been remotely hinted at. So this video game will continue to live on, not as a video game anymore but as a movie.
