Freshman Kristen Reed up at bat
Wednesday, Sept. 7, both the JV and varsity softball teams played at home against Mullen High School. The varsity team ended with a winning score of 7 to 2. Which was a refreshing win after losing last weekend’s tournament by one run against Rocky. The girls are off to a great start this season and hope to make it to state for the 5th year in a row.
Coach Dave Philop is pretty pleased with his players, according to him “The future of the program looks really bright because there is a lot of talent.”
The varsity girls softball team plays next on Friday, September 11 at 3:30pm. The game will be at Chaparral High School in Parker Colorado. The JV game follows at 5:00pm.
