Lizzy Camp, Co Editor in Chief
Lizzy Camp is a senior and is elated to be entering her final semester as Editor in Chief, alongside Jordan Brownhill. She has spent four years working in the newsroom and has contributed many amazing articles, podcasts, and photos to Etched in Stone. She is excited to continue growing the Etched in Stone staff and bettering the paper by pursuing journalistic excellence.
Camp has lived in Colorado for her whole life, and has grown up in a household with an older sister and a younger sister. They get a great deal of enjoyment out of spending time with their two dogs, Lucy and Woodrow.
Outside of journalism, Camp values the time she gets to spend with her friends and being a part of the Fossil Ridge High School percussion ensemble, where she plays the bass guitar. Being a part of percussion has taught Camp the value of dedication and how to deal with problems effectively and without excessive stress.
Percussion has been an important part of Camp’s high school experience. The friends made through percussion are a treasured part of Camp’s life, and spending her time learning and making music with them is something Camp is passionate about.
Outside of music, Camp enjoys reading, cooking, being with friends and listening to new artists. She enjoys indie and folk music, including artists like Cavetown, The Oh Hellos, and Gregory Alan Isakov. She also loves to hike and camp. Camp has a love of plants, especially trees. She plans to follow a path of plants and study forest biology after high school.
