Alaina Yeager, Independent Writer
Alaina Yeager, a senior, is taking her first year in journalism. She has always enjoyed writing and is thinking about pursuing it in the future. She was a yearbook student during her freshman year, which gave her the necessary skills when it comes to interviewing people and getting information. She hopes to write about sports this year and all the exciting events surrounding Fossil Ridge.
Alaina is an AP Studio ceramics student with a schedule this year filled mostly by art classes. She is very hands-on when it comes to projects, which will benefit her creative process this year in journalism. Alaina is the youngest of the family, but every family member is unique and special in their own way. Her older sister, who lives in Portland, is very important to her, they are very close. Outside of school, she is busy working as a hostess at a nice restaurant. Alaina also enjoys spending time with friends, she is quite the social butterfly.
In the future, Alaina is considering the path of psychology or journalism. She is looking into a couple universities, including PSU and CSU. Alaina still has no concrete plan of what she would like to do and that is okay, because in her words “Take life one day at a time, I do not know exactly what I am gonna end up being yet but that is okay because I am young and now is what counts”. She looks forward to finishing her senior year and never looking back.
