Girls Softball is approaching home plate

The Fort Collins community better look out because girls softball is hitting the competition out of the park. Softball played on Tuesday, September 29 against Poudre High School  at home. Varsity brought home a win with a score of 10 to 2. JV also walked off the field with a winning score of 12 to 0.

On Thursday, October 1 Varsity fell just short in the sixth inning. They lost 8 to 5 against Loveland. They played at Centennial Baseball complex. JV kept up the winning streak winning 12 to 0.

The standings for the week of September 26 are in the league 5-3 and for the overall 10-5. Both softball teams have a busy week ahead of them. They play Saturday, October 3 at 10 am against Rocky Mountain High School at Fossil. Varsity softball will play again on Tuesday, October 6 at 4:15pm; it will be an away game against Fort Collins High School. Both teams will play again on Thursday, October 8 at home. It will be a 4:15 game against Fairview. These girls are hoping for fans in the stands, let’s go Fossil.
