Megan Butters, Sports Writer
Megan Butters, a senior, is in her first year of journalism and enjoying it. Butters is serving this year part of the sports beat. She says that her favorite types of articles to write are either Op-Eds or sports articles.
While being part of the paper she is also involved in lots of things outside of school. Butters volunteers at respite care, babysits and helps out with her family business, Bullhide 4x4. She is planning on going to the University of Wyoming to study Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education.
Butters lives with her mom (Susan), dad (Scott), brother (Trevor), as well as her dog Sadie. Butters says that she really enjoys spending time with her family. Her favorite thing to do with her family is to go boating at Horsetooth on their boat and spending time in the mountains four-wheeling and riding ATV’s. Butters says that she enjoys music but her favorite genre is country.
