Etched in Stone

Jordan Brownhill

Jordan Brownhill is a sophomore at Fossil Ridge High School. She was born in Indiana, but moved to Ringgold, Georgia, when she was about to turn three years old. After nine years of living in Georgia, Brownhill moved to Colorado, and has lived here ever since.

Many of Brownhill’s family members live in Colorado, including her cousins and grandparents. She loves being able to see them more often, and she has become great friends with her cousins.

Now, Brownhill is on the Fossil Ridge Dance Team. She has been dancing for about nine years, and she is in her second year on the team. She loves that she is able to continue dancing while also being involved in her school.

Outside of school, she is a member of the National Charity League. NCL is an organization that allows Brownhill to volunteer for various charities with her mom, as well as provide different opportunities for them to take classes like cooking and yoga.

Brownhill loves to spend time with friends, family, and her two dogs, Cooper and Arlo. She has also been learning to play the ukulele since last year, when she first checked the instrument out of Fossil library.

In the future, Brownhill aims to become an environmental lawyer. She realized that she wanted to go into a career that works on environmental policies in her freshman year of high school, when writing a choice essay about the topic. She hopes to get her undergrad degree in environmental law and policy, and she hopes to go to law school at New York University.
