Deep into the season, the PSD Fire field hockey team has not been as fierce as they want to be. Coming into this away game in Mountain Vista on September 30th, the Fire have yet to win a single game, but have definitely impressed on the field, despite the drought of losses. The game was off to a normal pace, but sped up as players were getting warmed up to each other.
The Fire put out an extravagant amount of shots on net, but Vista’s goaltender was there to match them all and keep the ball out of the net, and zeroes on the scoreboard. Mountain Vista came on hard and put the ball in the back of the net five times in the game, and defeating fire with fire. Mallory Kellum said after the game that “the weather sucked, which threw us all off, but we held our own on the field.” The PSD Fire fall to Mountain Vista, 5-0.
