Caroline Sears, Editor-in-Chief
Caroline Sears is thrilled to be Editor in Chief along with Melissa May this year. The pair hopes to improve the paper in every way, but they are focusing on ensuring the stories are meaningful and that the paper’s staff is connected.
She is passionate about theatre and her favorite subject is English. As president of National English Honor Society and vice president of National Honor Society, being involved in Fossil’s extracurriculars is important to her.
An advocate for mental health and respect, she will strive to use her platform on Etched in Stone to bring awareness and challenge stereotypes and prejudices in order to help people understand and show sympathy. She loves getting outside however she can but especially looks forward to going on hikes with her sister.
Family is one of the most important things to Sears. She looks up to her parents for being so determined and hardworking. Her favorite foods are strawberries and the chocolate chip cookies her aunt makes. A bit of an old soul, she enjoys crocheting and writing letters to her friends and family.
Sears is very outgoing and strives to be a leader. In her free time, Caroline skateboards, writes, paints, and is constantly listening to music. She is happiest when hanging out with her friends or at a concert.
Set on sharing truthful stories, she will certainly continue to be a powerful new addition to Etched in Stone.
